How long does a volleyball match last?

Volleyball has no game clock — a match ends when one team wins 3 sets (best of five). That usually takes roughly 1½ to 2 hours for five sets, and often about an hour or a little more for a 3–0 match.

Time-outs, long rallies and close sets (e.g. 30–28) all make matches longer.
