- Point direction: arm towards the team that serves next
- Ball in: arm pointing to the floor · Ball out: forearms raised, palms in
- Four hits: four fingers · Double contact: two fingers
- Catch: forearm slowly raised, palm up
- Net touch: hand on the side of the net
- Overlap/rotation fault: circling forefinger
- Time-out: "T" with the hands
